Currently, If I hold the power button for about 3 seconds, the laptop would shut down? I'd prefer if it went into sleep mode and if it took less time to actuate the button, or if there are multiple things it can do at once with different hold times that would also be great, so yea if anyone knows how to do this, any help is appreciated :)

    Check the screenshot.

    Install Acer Quick Access.
You can set power button to do one action on SHORT PRESS. LONG PRESS always defaults to force power off. On mine, it is set to do nothing on short press.

Do you by any chance have a download link for windows 10? I looked it up and only found links for windows 8

Check on Acer site under your model. Here is the link to my model G3-572 - https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/support-product/7310?b=1&pn=NH.Q2CSV.003

This option has been there since the days of windows 7 - it just isn't enabled by default - since enabling this option reserves about 60-75% of RAM size on disk for the hibernate file.
