I tried to install a Samsung 970 EVO Plus 500Gb M.2 NVMe ssd into the M.2 slot of my Aspire E5-771G-52PR. I left the WD 500Gb hdd (non SSD) with Windows 10 in the Sata slot. The laptop would not even start.
I took the SSD out and bingo the computer started fine. Put it back in and it did not boot, no screen, no activity other than a short blink on the drive activity light on the front of the laptop. Does the M.2 slot in my laptop not support NVMe or does it support a SATA M.2 or is that M.2 slot reserved for something else?? Thanks for any info.
