My predator Helios 300, is having ants in it. I don't use any food items while using my laptop.I 've opened the system and cleaned it once, but again it's still there. The ants are hiding under the keyboard. Can anyone link a tutorial on how to remove the keyboard from the system.I'm finding black adhesive attached below the motherboard which is strong, the ants are below that layer.
The thermal pads are being destroyed by these ants.
Or how much it'll cost for a cleanup of the system.????

its_vsk my best bet if its on warranty contact acer directly and send it back to get the ants removed if its out of warranty you can either do it yourself or take it to a repair shop also dont switch it back on with the ants inside it might short circuit and burn any of the components for good regarding disassembling it the instructions are only available in the service manuals and only for acer engineers/service centers and us to help sometimes with minimal specs we arent allowed under our NDA to post any instructions on how to disassemble internal parts of the laptop only regarding upgrades etc and other simple issues so the best you can do its to figure it out yourself if you can without voiding the warranty (if still on warranty) or get someone to do it for you

OK.Thanks for your reply. The device is out of warranty. But still, I contacted the service centre number(just a few mins back), but that dude just said its the wrong number and cut the call. What should I do?

the number given there was not correct, as I called on that, the person said its wrong number and cut the call. And i contacted Acer via twitter, they responded and gave me another number. Still, the second number was not being attended...
So, I just went on with my knowledge, opened the laptop and cleaned myself.

All the thermal pads are tampered by the ants..
Any suggestions for what to use, also for the thermal paste

its_vsk well since you already opened it get some kryonaut and repaste it regarding the thermal pads they might be 1.0/1.5mm some models use both in specific places by the way what is your full model number so i can give a check in the service guide if theres any mention about the thermal pad size(s)
    My model number is N17C1
