So, i have an acer nitro 5 with  a gtx 1050 2gb and intel core i5-9300hq. My problem is, that when i plug my new gaming monitor into the hdmi-port, it gets locked at 30 or 60fps. The 60 fps wouldn't be a problem but in csgo it introduces input lag that makes the game unplayable.(normally the game runs at 100-160fps) How can i fix this?

depending on the monitor, you can create a custom resolution in the nvidia control panel and set it to a higher refresh rate however this will not always work and especially with HDMI. It really depends on the hdmi port version that is on your monitor paired with the hdmi port version on your gpu. If you can I would stick with the display port connection as most gaming monitors these days have dp 1.4. I would check the monitors manual and your gpu specs to verify the connections and the maximum resolution and hz that can be run at with those connections.
    Hope this helps!
