Hey guys I recently just sold my screen bled ridden Asus ROG Swift for this bad boy. However I have some concerns.

1.
Is there anyway I can have them match together? I know my secondary monitor is a 4k screen and this is 2k, so I presume that's why it would do this however is there any good compromise.

2.
I have a dead pixel? Or so it seems at the top right. I have read many things saying "if it's black it's not dead it just needs a massage to move the liquid over the screen" but I am not entirely sure I want to be rubbing my screen. Any suggestions or do I need to take this back?

3. What is the best settings for making the screen look the best? Settings meaning using the little pop out screen menu.

Cheers guys!

@Xkalavous I hope that I can answer your questions.
    1. That is ok; my monitor setup is the same as yours. That setting is for monitor alignment; if you set it at the very top, this is where your mouse will be able to pass to the other screen. I have mine set to the middle to have a more fluid transition.

    2. The pixel just might be stuck. here is a good article on how to unstick a stuck pixel.

I would be hesitant to put any pressure on my new monitor as well. Another method that I have heard about is flashing the monitor with different colors at a fast pace. Here is a youtube video that is supposed to help do this

    3. For the best calibration there are several options. The first is to go to the acer website and download the drivers, which will include an icc color profile with it. Once you have it, unzip the file > right click on the file with the gear icon > select install. When it shows the install as complete, go to device manager > select monitor > right click the generic pnp driver > select update > browse my local machine > let me pick from a list > uncheck Show compatible hardware > search for Acer, Acer Electronics > ACR and find the driver that corresponds to the file in the zip folder you downloaded. it should automatically assign the icc color profile. You can check by searching for the color management tool on your windows machine
You can also visit https://www.tftcentral.co.uk/articles/icc_profiles.htm that has a listing of icc profiles for monitors as well as the OSD settings to go with it

Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any questions

Oh and if you get an error when installing the driver, it might be because it is not signed and windows 10 does not allow this by default. To disable this setting follow this guide
