The m.2 bus to the CPU  is listed as only supporting SATA3 speeds. However, It should fit and work OK at SATA3 speeds if the m.2 mainboard socket has only one key. Jack E/NJ

You must actually look at the socket on your mainboard to see if it has one or two keys like shown in the image below. If the socket has two keys (B+M socket), the nvme won't fit. If it has one key (M socket), the nvme will fit but only work at SATA3 speeds. The safest and  cheapest choice is an m.2 SATA3 card like the top card. Jack E/NJ

If the mainboard m.2 socket has two keys, it won't fit. Please look yourself inside the socket. I can't see inside your m.2 socket from the image you posted. Jack E/NJ

When I looked on userbenchmark, it appears that both the Kaby Lake and Kaby Lake Refresh mainboards of the E5-576G support M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD.

    I'm not an Acer employee.

If so, then it should have only one M key in the socket. He must look inside the socket he has on the board to confirm this. Jack E/NJ

Yes, the nvme should fit. However, the specsheet has tested only m.2 SATA3 cards up to 512GB. Nvme cards can sometimes be harder to install properly than SATA3 cards. So NVME is a bigger risk than SATA3  Jack E/NJ

It should fit. But may be harder to install properly than a SATA3 card. NVME has bigger risks than SATA3  So I still recommend a SATA3 card instead of nvme for least risk. It is entirely your decision to make, Jack E/NJ

The only risk is that it might not work properly. Then you would have to return it to the vendor for a refund or exchange for another m.2 card. A 1TB SATA3 card is more likely to work properly than a 1TB NVME card.  But there can be no 100% guarantee. Jack E/NJ
