Hi there. I've had my Helios 300 for about 9 months now. Just the other day, either my battery or my charger seems to be acting weird. Every 10-15 seconds or so, my screen dims, and laptop "beeps" that my battery is not charging, and then a few seconds later the screen will get bright and "beep" that it is charging again. The charger is plugged in the whole time it is doing this. I tried resetting the battery by putting a paperclip into the battery reset simulation button at the base of my laptop, but that did not work. Any suggestions? Does it seem like there is a problem with the battery or the charger? Thanks.

Jayceeoh .. Hi! please follow the below steps

    1. Shutdown your computer and then remove the power cable ( AC Adapter) from your computer
    2. Look underneath your laptop you could see a small battery reset pinhole where you have to insert paperclip and hold it down for 10 to 15 seconds then remove the paperclip
    3. connect the AC adapter then turn on the computer and check whether the problem is resolved if not got to step 4
    4. Get on to device manager by clicking on start and type device manager in search box
    5. In device manager expand Batteries and whatever you see under batteries uninstall them then turn off your computer
    6. unplug the power cable from your laptop
    7. Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds and Connect the power cable then turn on your laptop and check it's resolved your issue or not..

Jayceeoh if any of the above wont sort it out check your adapter with a voltmeter to see if its working fine and check your battery report for the wear

Also just to add if its a 2019 h300 doesnt have a battery pinhole its the power button and whichever you have press/hold for 30s and let the laptop rest for 2/3h check here to completely discharge all capacitors boot into bios and reset to default settings

For windows to be installed the normal way secure boot needs to be enabled and the bios in uefi mode if you have it disabled as you stated it wont work wont let you boot at all secure boot only needs to be disabled for any other OS to boot from usb drive

For clean installing Windows 10 using USB, use the Rufus tool to create it. Then, keeping BIOS mode as UEFI, turn off secure boot. Works like that on all PCs with UEFI BIOS. Also, try doing the pin-hole reset again by keeping the pin pressed for 10s. Then connect the adaptor and boot to BIOS. Reset the BIOS to default values (remove your Supervisor password first) and then choose "Save and Exit". This solved it for me last week. Use this guide.

Try the steps once mentioned here (needs an ISO I think). Also look at this thread.

You can also visit the service center if under warranty for fixing it.
