Sir,
I have Acer predator helios 300 with i5 processor with base speed of 2.2Ghz and turbo is 4GHz.But I have a question that can't I increase the speed to 3.0 Ghz that is in middle.
Can I achieve this using Throttlestop??

Why do you want to set it to 3GHz only? It will go till 4GHz automatically based on load on it.

No it always goes upto 4Ghz when its not even required. For eg. ,when playing any game which can easily run at more than 60 fps at 2.3 GHz ,it automatically goes to 4Ghz and heats it upto 98C.
Thats why I am running it at 2.3 GHz but its not efficient thats why want it to settle at 3gHz so that it does not heat that much and as well my work is also accomplished

Use Throttlestop and also try cleaning your fans and applying thermal paste (may void your warranty if you do it yourself, so better ask Acer Support to send someone to do it officially).

j8ggsawt4eat as it was said above use TS and lock it to the clock speed you want on all cores so it will only go at that max speed when boosting and it will always go up to the max speed especially if youre on the latest windows version 1909 its a complete nightmare on temps and cpu clock management in fact its not even a full version upgrade its just to activate some features that were already present on 1903 but dormant and they managed to make it even worse as usual :) so i dont advice anyone to upgrade if they are on 1903 just stay on it or earlier like me on 1809 and pretty happy with it great temps/performance

There you go: https://www.ultrabookreview.com/31385-the-throttlestop-guide/. Read it carefully. Every PC has different hardware, so you need to do it yourself.

j8ggsawt4eat also check  here for a ready TS conf for your own cpu and just adjust the clock speed you want on all cores to be locked to
