Nitro N50-600 broke down, can't post, trying to make sense of beep code

Hi all,
So I've been using a N50-600 gaming desktop for the past 14 months, up until a couple days ago when I turned it on and it wouldn't boot as normal.

What I get now: I press the power button, it powers up for a few seconds, then it shuts off, for a few seconds, only to turn on again and repeat the process. Zero video signal. Screen stays blank. No customary 'all ok' single beep. Fans spin, lights turn on, but it never gets to post. If I let it go through the cycle a few times, it occasionally (not every time) sounds two quick beeps. I think it might help if I knew what those two beeps meant, but I'm having trouble finding information on the subject. I don't know what version of BIOS is on this product other than it being called 'R01-A2' and I wasn't able to find anything on its beep codes online.

Is anyone familiar with this model's BIOS and beep codes?

Any info would be appreciated, thank you.

I"m having the same issue in 2020. Just purchased a desktop for my son. We had a storm roll through, and now the desktop just keeps power cycling. I did remove the RAM, then I reseated it and now I have this issue for some reason????

    Hi!

My Acer Nitro-50 600 (mini tower, i7 intel cpu, 16 GB RAM, 256 GB SSD, etc) stopped working about 12 months after purchase (bought it during about summer 2018) with lots of blue screen of deaths in the beginning. I fixed what I could with the BSoD messages, then opened it and vacuum-cleaned it gently and safely without touching anything inside. It worked a little bit on and off after that, but like a year ago in the summer time it just didnt want to start anymore, got different beeping on start up but the screen was black and nothing else happende, couldnt use the thing at all... The beeping was like two short beeps continously... The on/off switch lit up... So I turned it in for repair where I bought it and left it their for two weeks. At the same time I bought I new computer from the same store in Sweden (El-giganten, in Stockholm). The new computer was a brand new Acer Predator, much better than the Nitro even though the speccs are about the same actually, but it just works like a charm with no problems at all. Then I called the company about the Nitro-50, they have forgotten to call me... They told me they couldnt find any problems at all with it, very strange... I took it home, it worked for 30 minutes, then it crashed and then I couldnt start it, said something about BIOS if I remember correctly (this is about a year ago). Got in the BIOS did something I cant remember, got it to work again. Wiped the SSD and installed Win 10 64-bit again Home edition (OEM). It worked for about 30 min again, then crashed again... That kept going for a few days, the same story... Well, I had my new shiny Predator computer anyway so no worries... But I was mad anyway, paied 15 000 kronor (about 1500 Euro or US dollars) for some garbage that lasted about 12 months, then gave me nothing but problems. I couldnt rely on this *****! Today I tried to start it up and it just gives me a long continues beep that wont stop, nothing else happens besides the On/off button lit up... What a piece of *****! That's my story about this computer! Never again! Since then I bought a thirde super computer (in february this year) with 64 GB RAM, etc, so I at least have more computers than I really use... But it would be nice to use the Nitro-50 some times because its so light to carry with me to my bands rehearsel place for example to record our music, but I could never rely on it working... Dont know what to do with it now, maybe buy a new mini case and a new motherboard, try to use the cpu and RAM from the Nitro add a new SSD, etc. Whatever... Long term project I guess for the future...

Btw, what does that long beep means? :s

    Hello again!

I did some search on this problem (beeping, not starting up, etc) a few days ago and found a couple of videos on YouTube where the guy suggested to try a few things to get it to work again. And it did!   =)

The first thing to try is to remove the first Memory Stick (the RAM with 8 GB) because this is generally a common problem and what you want to first try out. Well I did that and the computer worked perfectly after that! That's great, I could use the computer for hours with no problems at all, it booted up and it just worked with no problems at all. But now I only have 8 GB RAM in that computer (Nitro-50). I could buy some new memory sticks though in the future.

Just wanted you to know how to try to fix the computer. Just open the case and remove the first memory stick of RAM, re-boot the computer with the case open still (BUT dont touch anything inside though since there's leathel electricity inside it!!!), then if its working like mine did then great! Else, shut it all down and then remove Memory stick 2 instead and put Memory stick 1 back inside and reboot again. It could be either of those RAM-sticks causing the problem with beeping, not starting up, etc. It could be both also but that's a more uncommon problem I guess.

One other thing is to reset BIOS if the Memory stick-thing doesn't work, do that by removing the battery for CMOS for 1 minute, then put it back and start up the computer again. Well that's it! Hope you all fix it!
