Aspire 5 Laptop - A515-54G-56VE IPS screen?

I am looking to purchase this laptop off of www.Acer.Com

When I read the specifications there is no mention of an IPS panel, reading the forums I understand that the specifications on Acer.Com can be limited.

I called Acer customer support and I've been told yes it is an IPS panel then no it's not an IPS panel then yes it is an IPS panel?

I've also been told that all 54 g series laptops are IPS panels by default.

Can anyone confirm whether or not this laptop has an IPS panel

Here's what the spec says:

I don't have visibility into the 56VE version, though I believe there's a good chance the non-IPS versions are possibly also not G versions (A515-54, not A515-54G).

This cannot be assumed. Because there is the possibility of regional variations for the exact same model. All that can be assumed is the max resolution which is the same for both Comfyview IPS & TN displays. I personally prefer TN as the colors seem just as vivid up to about 30* viewing angles with better refresh rates. If I was in the market, I'd buy it from a vendor with a good returns policy if I wasn't happy with the display I get out of the box. Jack E/NJ

I own one and yes, it has an IPS, but lower your expectation, it has a cheap IPS

Yeah... nope, mine came with a TN panel (BOE model NT156FHM-N61), granted it was one of those A515-54G models that come without OS and the like (full model is A515-54G-70Y9); but the panel in here is definitely not IPS.
