I'm wondering if its safe to update to Win 10 1909 build from 1809 or will the out of date Intel Video/Audio drivers that Acer have be the blocking factor for the update.

Clean install is not an option as I have limited internet data and any games I have from the MS Store like Sea of Thieves and Halo Wars 2 I'll have to download again as there is no clear way of backing them up easily and I hate having to reinstall software ( as game launchers need to download themselves again for example) as its a waste of so much time as I much prefer to download the windows update and do manually if I have to.

@Metal_Masher you don't have to download it again unless you have them installed in the system drive (which u shouldn't anyways) if so move them to another one but again it's up to you to upgrade i dont recommend it as i said u might be lucky or not i would backup everything just in case it goes wrong the point here it's that the update will download/install itself you won't be able to manually install it and if you take ownership of the windows apps hidden folder inside program files you should be able to backup all the apps/games from the store

I decided to bite the bullet and update windows and I'm happy to say the update is a complete success, as far I'm aware of there has being no problems since the update, all apps are working as intended including the games as well. I can say that 1909 update is a safe update for G9-791, if anyone else have updated to the new update please post your success as well the laptop model you have.
