Helios 300 won’t power on

Hello,

I’m unable to power on my Helios 300 after simply shutting it down and driving home. The keyboard stays dark, and I’ve noticed that even the indicator LEDs on the side won’t light up when I plug it in. It’s essentially a $1000 paperweight. Everything worked without a hitch just 5 hours ago.

I suspected that the computer simply didn’t power off and that the battery was dead, but plugging it in didn’t help. I googled around, tried a few of the usual suggestions, battery reset, etc; however, none of that helped either. I also found that to my dismay, the laptop is 2 weeks out of warranty.

PSU is okay, measured 19V on the output.

Do I need a new one, or is there anything I could try yet?

intercity Try to perform a battery powerdrain and let it rest 2/3h check here (if your laptop its a 2019 model wouldnt have the back/bottom battery pinhole use the power button instead to discharge it) after if youre able boot into bios and reset to setup defaults

    Hello @Xapim@Acer-Samuel

Unfortunately, the machine is still dead. No status LEDs, no backlight, no power. Thanks for the suggestion, though.
