Predator and Nitro products are engineered to withstand higher operating temperatures than traditional notebooks. These systems include features that help with cooling and heat dispersion. The CPU and GPU are designed to handle temperature spikes in excess of 98 degrees Celsius without causing damage to the components. It is common for PC temperatures to spike temporarily during heavy gaming or graphic usage. If the system encounters excessive temperatures that could damage the hardware, it will automatically shut down to protect the components from becoming damaged.

twentyfaces please don not take in consideration some of what @Jack22 stated above  when it comes to thermal issues i suspect its just copy/paste the same answer everytime ?? its more than obvious to me that some users here (in general) in this community havent got single a clue of what they are saying and shouldnt be giving these advices/answers because this is not normal so not true (the only thing true about it its yes the cpu/gpu support those temps but they are already throttling so all the performance is gone so whats the point on having a gaming laptop anyway if you dont have any of performance the device can provide due to thermal throttling) my point of view for anyone who replies always the same way and by doing so saying its normal to not worry about it they either should give the correct advice (there is plenty of info here in this community already about it) or not give any advice at all we are all here to help not to say its normal its normal because its not and those who come here for help and havent got a clue will believe in them and even accept the answers given.

And your solutions to lower your temps are as follows optimize windows and undervolt check here if still needed repaste it with kryonaut or similar if you can open it yourself without voiding your warranty (this if you dont have any warranty seals or you are already out of warranty) also clean your fans and exit airflow if you cant do it yourself you have to send it back to get it properly cleaned/repasted

You stated you tried to repaste the cpu/gpu already so my advice is use a proper thermal paste and the spread method only a thin layer of thermal paste to cover the diodes completely its enough too much paste its bad as the same as too less get your hands on some kryonaut and repaste it again and dont forget to give the fans/exit airflow a complete clean

    Hi twentyfaces,

Are these temperatures spikes or permanent?

If you're under warranty and these temperatures make the unit to turn off or the keys to hot to the touch, then please contact your local Acer support channels for assistance: https://www.acer.com/ac/en/AE/content/service-contact

If your unit is not under warranty you can take xapim to advise and follow the tips from the link provided.

    Thanks,
    Acer-Manny
