You need to turn off the power save mode of the network adapter. Please try the steps mentioned bellow.
    • Cick "Start"
    • Click "Control Panel"
    • Click "Classic View"
    • Double-click on "System"
    • Select "Hardware" tab
    • Click "Device Manager" button
    • Click "+" to left of "Network Adapters"
    • Double-click on "Atheros xxxxxxx."
    • Click "Advanced" tab
    • Select "Power Save Mode"
    • Select "Off"
    • Select "OK"
Please click on YES if it's helpful thanks.

You can also try changing the roaming sensitivity of the WiFi adapters antenna seems to make a difference in wireless reliability.

Device Manager > Network adapters > Qualcomm Atheros QCA61x4A (your adapter) > 'Advanced' Tab > 'Roaming aggressiveness' > Value - 1. Lowest

If you are not on '1' value, try it. See if you keep dropping the connection.

I've now tried it but now it like has 2 bars of signal instead of 3 or 4. I don't know if that will effect it or not but am trying it to see.
