I just hooked up my new Acer PE320QK with Displayport, and my PC won't boot with it plugged in. There are error beeps coming from the computer. If I unplug the monitor, the PC boots, and I can plug it in afterwards. Does anyone know what causes this?

    Hi fp68
The first thing to rule out is overheating (CPU, motherboard, hard drive or power supply)
then I would check for bad memory (if you have two modules - swap them out for testing)
then I would test with another power supply
only after I have checked ALL of these would I think it was the Motherboard.

I actually figured this one out myself, and the root of the problem was old firmware on my GTX1080 graphics card.

I downloaded the firmware updater tool from Nvidia https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/drivers/nv-uefi-update-x64/

    This did the trick.
