Dual external monitors (Lid closed) 1050ti variant (External Targus docking station)

TLDR; If I have my main external monitor hooked up via HDMI directly to the laptop and my other external monitor hooked up to the dock via VGA, will I experience any issues using the monitor that I have hooked up to the VGA port? Is it possible for me to hook up two external monitors to my laptop and close the lid while its running and only use those two monitors as my main displays.

I currently have an Acer Predator Helios 300 and I already have one external monitor connected to it. Basically, I have a stationary PC setup on my laptop (meaning that I have an external keyboard and mouse connected to it, with my main screen being connected to a mount and my laptop being mounted on the other side being used as a second monitor) However, I am looking to buy another external monitor so I can basically close the laptop and put the second monitor on my mount that I have hooked up to my desk.

Does anyone have an experience doing this with this specific laptop or a similar setup like I'm trying to make?

On a side note, I have most of my cables hooked up to a dock where I have my internet mouse and keyboard hooked up as well, and I was wondering if when i buy the second external monitor and hook it up to the dock via VGA (there is no HDMI ports on it) will it cause any issues to my experience? When I first got the dock and I tried hooking up my monitor up via VGA to the dock, I was getting major performance issues in the games I was playing I fixed this by hooking up and HDMI cable directly into the laptop and everything is fine now. So If I have my main external monitor hooked up via HDMI directly to the laptop and my other external monitor hooked up to the dock via VGA, will I experience any issues using the monitor that I have hooked up to the VGA port?

Sorry for the wall of text.

3nd4u as far as im aware dual external display mode will only work with a usb 3.0 hdmi dock but of course you will always have poor performance on it no matter what it was not done for gaming or high demanding works at all on dual display thats why it had the hdmi dedicated port connected directly to the DGPU (in some cases both hdmi and DP/mini/DP which will override each other it wont work with 2 displays either)  also bare in mind the more power you draw form the usb and hdmi ports the less performance you will have even with the battery to aid the adapter you might have high battery drain

@xapim I think that if I have my main display that I have hooked up directly to the GPU and have the second external monitor hooked up to the Docking Station using a VGA cable there any issues. What do you think? There is 1 HDMI port on the docking station, what if I used a VGA to HDMI cable to the docking station to the external monitor? Do you think that would work?

Thanks a bunch for your input!

It's a question of trying it and see how it goes I don't use external displays myself I only know what I had been reading about it 😊
