I know nothing about computers, but if there's one thing I know it's that my computer should run games with fewer problems than I've been having. I don't even know what happened, one day my games were fine but then my frame rate dropped to an unplayable level! I have no idea what the laptop used to have but I've already heard from someone that my current processor isn't meant to run games. I've tried literally everything I could find and nothing works.

My processor: Intel (r) core (tm) i5-8300 cpu @2.30 hz

1)make sure you set you power plan in high performance not in battery saving
1)disable your antivirus while gaming if you using antivirus it is main reason of fps drop
2)set high performance in nitro since in both Ac and battery
    Another way
1.)You need to go to Power options from right clicking the battery icon.
2.)Switch to High performance mode and then go to Change plan settings or something option like additional power setting
3.)You'll be able to see Change advance power settings, proceed with that
4.)Scroll down and search for Switchable Dynamic Graphics.
5.)Set both the options to Maximum Performance.
Then just update your gpu driver from acer official site .this can increase gaming performance fps

There's no Switchable Dynamic Graphics anywhere. Where is it?

There's no other power option other than "balanced"
So because u in balance mode that's why low performance .
Go in battery setting something there is additional power plan or advanced click it there you need to select high performance plan

Everything is in high performance now, I tested a game and the frame rate was still terrible.
