It has the Intel core i7 6700 CP, Samsung 960 SSD, Nvidia GeForce GTX 980M and 64GB of poorly performing RAM. RAM comes in at 55 percentile on PassMark. SSD is rated in 96th percentile. CPU comes in at 58th percentile. It runs at around 3.2 GHZ, according to CPUID. Any suggestions on upgrading the CPU?

gogomunch whats the full model of the laptop so if its a i7 6700hq im guessing either a G9 or G3 something also for tv streaming should be more than enough and you cant upgrade neither the cpu neither the gpu the only parts upgradable on intel gaming laptops are the ram/drives/wifi and bluetooth if separated nothing else you can check which ram you have with cpu-z (probably will only support up to 2400mhz because its an old model) and get some hyperx 2400 at least you qould get the best ram available for it and also a better ssd
