I have a question about the Acer Predator Helios 300?

My current laptop has an i7-8750H and a 1050 Ti. I was thinking of purchasing a new laptop from Acer. I'm currently looking at the Acer Predator Helios 300. It has an i7-9750H and the 1660 Ti. Would upgrading from the 1050 Ti to the 1660 Ti be a good boost in performance? Also, how are the temperatures with the Predator (both CPU and GPU)? Is undervolting necessary for the i7? I've been reading some posts that the i7 runs very, very hot under load.

Thank you,
Matthew.

    Good afternoon MatthewDilks !

In gross figures, the 1650 would have gained about 28 to 35 percent to the 1050 final depending on the system's final configurations.
As for the processor, the gain would be around 10%

The processor issue does not necessarily exist on the basis of having to perform undervolting.
    Just keep your system cool.

MatthewDilks yes its a good upgrade as @MaClane stated above in fact the 1660ti in some benchmarks its side by side to a 1070 and the H300 2019 come pre undervolted already by  0.125 this is one of the main reasons they have great temps and performace but if by any chance you would get under high load more than 70'ish on gpu and much above 80 on cpu send it back straight away for a repaste of do it yourself with kryonaut or similar if you dont have any warranty seals that you wold had to break voiding the warranty
