Hi, I'm from France and today (11/14/2019) my laptop died.

I was playing a ressource demanding game on my desk with a laptop cooler and then what I thought was a fps drop actually crashed the game, after that I began to smell like something was burning and the desktop crashed. The PC shut itself down and when I restarted it it initially worked then shut itself again.
The PC now doesn't respond and there's no signal whatsoever when plugging the charger in or out.
I think the PC is basically dead, and I read before some people had the same experience (about motherboard burns) and the warranty worked.

I purchased the PC in July 2017 on Amazon and I wanted to know how to proceed to a maintenance on the laptop and how to make the warranty work in my case in France.

I hope to get answers rapidly about my problem, thanks for reading.

NelsonNJ well if you purchased it in 2017 and youre in France you probably only had 1 year ITW in EU (this means international travellers warranty only in the US they used to have 2 years fro the 2017/2018 models but its down to 1 now for  the 2019 models) its way out warranty now  (check acer warranty policy for your own country here) you would have take it to a good repair shop to diagnose it in case its the motherboard itself you would have to find a donor mobo to for replacement sometimes if you have know a good electronic engineer some capacitors can be replaced and the mobo brought back to life as acer will only provide repair while its on warranty so as i said find a really good repair shop and get a proper engineer to diagnose the issue unfortunately theres nothing else that can be done here

Have you ever repasted it and cleaned the fans/exit airflow properly bare in mind gaming laptops when heavily used should be repasted one per year with proper thermal paste like kryonaut for ex

So as i said above youre way out of warranty check the policy here:

    Notebook

2 year standard warranty (1st year ITW)
    (For products purchased from 01/07/2016)

1 year standard warranty (ITW) (until 30/06/2016)

In addition, on the french website for the warranty it is still under warranty (2 years standard warranty), I just want to know how to contact them / send them my laptop for repair.
