I am having an issue with my Acer CB5-132T.

While using the device, I suddenly became disconnected to the Wi-Fi. I tried to reconnect but no networks were visible (despite plenty being visible on my phone). The Wi-Fi is off, so I turn he switch to on. At this point no networks come up and the switch gets stuck. I exit the wifi bit and try again but the same thing keeps happening. This problem has persisted at home despite nobody else having the same connection problems.

I restarted the Chromebook etc and searched online for solutions to no avail. I performed a hard reset but the problem persists (the first stage of the set-up is to connect to wi-fi. Since I cannot do this, I am now stuck at this stage). It just says network error.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Please perform a power wash and check the issue.
A 'Powerwash' is a Factory Reset that is used prior to performing a system recovery. Performing a powerwash will erase all local data.

    Powerwash When Not Signed In
Shutdown the power completely by holding down the power button for 5 seconds
Press the power button to turn the Chromebook on.
Once the Chromebook has finished booting, ensure you do not log in.
On the sign in screen, press the Ctrl + Shift + Alt + R keys simultaneously.

    Powerwash When Signed In
Click on the status area in the lower right corner of your display and click Settings.
Scroll down in the Settings screen until you see 'Show Advanced Settings' and then click on this option.
Scroll down until you see Powerwash. Click on Powerwash. Click on Restart.
Continue and Click Reset. The Chromebook will reboot with a screen that says 'Powerwash in progress...'

After the Powerwash is complete, the Chromebook will reboot.and you will be guided through initial setup.

    Hi,
Today i faced the same issue with my Predator. The problem is exactly the same as yours, I updated everything and my system is up to date. Now the only thing remaining is the problem with the NIC, which needs to be replaced.

I left my laptop for a few hours and when I turned it on it was miraculously working again! Thanks for your advice though, I will try that next time if it happens again!
