Hi there, I recently bought a helios 300 15inch 1060ti and I have been having audio issues with multiple headphones. I have a crackle noise that happens every 10 seconds or so when listening to music and the EQ is way off, sounds like what I''m listening too is recorded in a tunnel or something similar.

Things I have tried:
Rolled back my audio driver to an old one other people said fixed the problem.
Uninstalled/reinstalled the audio driver
Installed a fresh driver off acer website
Ran audio troubleshoot tool windows 10
changed from DVD quality/Studio quality and back
Turned spatial sound on/off
Made sure that all effects are off that I know off

Does anyone know of any solutions to this as each time I hear the crackle it pulls my attention towards it and distracts me when I'm working. Thanks!

Hey so a factory reset did fix the audio issue, not sure how it occurred in the first place but it's fixed now :)

rapidspitfire7 i had this issue on mine out of the box but it was with the internal speakers and i sorted it with drivers does yours do it with the internal speakers or just headphones ? either way firstly i would recommend to perform a battery power drain and if im not mistaken as you mentioned a 1160ti its the new 2019 so it doesnt have the battery pinhole switch you have to use the power button instead to drain the battery press it for 30s+ then let it rest for 2/3h to make sure all the power was drained check here boot into the bios reset to defaults and see if the issue persists if so the second option is for you to backup everything you would need and perform a stock recovery clean install to rule out any software issues if the issue persists after this i would say it could be hardware and at this point i would send it to warranty to get it checked

rapidspitfire7 completely uninstall the audio drivers and reinstall them with the acer stock thats sorted out my speakers crackling issues out of the box last resort perform a stock recovery clean install check here but make sure you backup whatever you need into another drive before

rapidspitfire7 glad you got it sorted in the end this is exactly the first step to do do rule out any software issues before sending it back because if a clean install will not fix it pretty sure the issue will be hardware wise :) i will be accepting your own answer as solved and you can also accept any other answers that you find helpful to make sure anyone with the same issue will find it quickly at the top of the thread :)
