PH517-51-72NU Driver Issue

Whenever I have used up-to-date vega drivers with my Helios 500, I get this flickering issue upon opening the lid. I have to shut the computer off in order to load windows properly, and this happens whenever the lid is closed. I attached a video:

This wasn't a problem before, but I've been trying to play red dead 2 (which won't launch without the most recent drivers), and now it seems that I have to pick between being able to play the game or having to boot twice whenever I shut the lid. Not ideal.
Help would be much appreciated!

Armadoodle so do you have the PH517-61 or the PH517-51 because the ryzen its the 61 and the intel its the 51 just to clarify probably you did a mistake in the thread title :) regarding your driver issues you could try to disable sleep and fast boot or probably its just really a driver issue that needs to be sorted out by amd in a next update hopefully

    It's the PH517-61, you're right.
I tried your suggestions, unfortunately nothing seems to be making this work. I guess I'll try to get RDR2 to function on the old drivers.
One noteworthy thing I observed - the only driver that works happens to be a version that won't launch the AMD Ryzen settings manager. I'm wondering if maybe that could be the problem?
Otherwise, I guess I'm stuck waiting on AMD.

Armadoodle well that might be one of the issues but bare in mind the game its brand new and they are still adapting the drivers to it same with cod there are loads of issues both would probably need to be a bit better optimized by the devs  i would check rockstar forums or even amd forums for similar issues and possible fixes :)
