G9-793 - Thunderbolt and Extended Warranty

Hi everyone! I'm considering using the Thunderbolt port in my G9-793 Laptop to put a more powerful GPU in, however when I look at Device Manager I don't see anything for Thunderbolt and when I use the Thunderbolt software application it looks like this:

This leads me to believe the driver or the controller isn't installed correctly.

I also took a look into getting extended warranty but when I try to purchase it keeps saying "Invalid Ship Date"

Can anyone help with these two questions?

ComradePaulT try to check acer support for your model and if is there any thunderbolt driver available or try to find the driver itself with the device hardware id i havent seen many cases successful using thunderbolt egpus on laptops its a bit tricky to get them to work properly but hey give it a try might work or not but i would probably buy something cheap just to test first also just a reminder as you may already know this is not acer direct support the acer staff only manages the community and only will intervene when really necessary this community its mainly run by normal users like me and you that are just here to help troubleshooting in whatever they can we are not acer employees were just voluntary :)
