While using my laptop a few hours ago, it suddenly turned off. I thought it was just the battery running dry but my laptop was plugged.

I tried turning it back on and it booted to the Acer logo but then turned back off. I tried turning it on again but it won't boot anymore and the charging light would blink 5 times.

Also, the charging light doesn't light up even when it was plugged.

I've tried the battery reset pinhole and left it for a while before turning it back on. When I plugged the charger,  the charging light turned on but after a few minutes it wasn't charging again.

Please help

Note: Laptop was bought last year around November/December.

    Hi mewii,

Looks like the charger is not working or the charging port is not working. Is the charger warm, try in different sockets. since the charger is not working the unit is not booting up. If that doesnt work try to use a alternative charger and check. Hope it will work. Will hope for the best. :)
