While gaming in games like Overwatch and Apex Legends I've seen it get above 70℃.
CPU could get a constant 86
℃ playing Apex with everything maxed out, and 70℃ or above with everything low.

Just wanted to know if it's normal(?) or if I should get a new unit of the machine...
I've heard so many good things about the cooling system of this one that it caught my eye. Worth mentioning that I'm not a tech guy.
Thanks for the help!

felphex as long as you don't go near 90's youre fine but i still think youre a bit high (check if youre thermal throttling) it could be a bad paste application what about your gou temps  and what are your specs

    Helios 300 (2019) Specs:

    CPU: Intel Core i7-9750H
    GPU: GTX 1660ti
    RAM: 16 GB
    Storage: 256 SSD

    GPU temps are around
    70℃, haven’t seen it above 71℃.

Even with those temps I haven’t seen any thermal throttling while gaming, but the CPU temps are a bit uncomfortable on top of the keyboard.

You could try limiting your FPS to just a little above of your screens refresh rate, it should reduce the effort on the computer.

@archon88 there are only two options on the display settings (60hz and 144hz). I’ve tried both, and couldn’t see any major improvement with the temps even with a restart.

Hey! Now I've been playing Apex Legends with everything optimized by GeForce and I've been getting a constant 85C+ peaking at 91C during a match. What should I do?

felphex if its brand new 2019 as you stated above send it for a repaste gpu shouldnt exceed 70'ish max and gpu 80'ish max and thats already pushing it it might happen that the gpu is ok but the cpu isnt or the other way around because it comes pre undervolted definitely a bad repaste you could ask if they would use the thermal paste you could provide if they say so get some kryonaut for them to use or if you dont have any warranty seals that you would have to break while disassembling it you can do it yourself without voiding the warranty as long as you know what youre doing and wouldnt damage anything you would be fine
