Hello, i have an Acer Aspire E1-572G and i have the following problem. Firstly I’ve changed the HDD with one SSD, and I’ve decided to clean up the cooler fun and changed the thermal paste. Everything was going fine until I realised they didn't work three buttons from keyboard. So I’ve disassembled again my laptop and after assembling it again I pressed the power button and the cooler fan started for 2-3 seconds while the screen was black but only one led was opened. I removed the RAM, CD-Drive, Wifi Card, battery and I pressed again the power button but i had the same problem as before. I’ve read several articles but no one helped me. Does anyone know what could I do? Will it be a good idea to reboot BIOS?

Hi, I have exactly the same problem. I installed a modded bios for additional features, and everything worked perfectly. Unfortunately at a point I decided to overvolt the CPU. After saving the changes in the bios, the exact symptoms were present as in the first post. I have an Aspire E5-572G.

Here's what I tried with no success:

    1. I tried to reset the bios by flashing an update: fn+esc fans speed up but not reading the usb. (Tried fat/fat16/fat32)

    2. Desoldered the cmos battery, left it for 20 minutes, nothing

    3. Tried the bios update from the DVD drive, no success, even though it started reading it.

Please help me, it's my primary device, I work as an editor.
  • Have you tried disconnecting the battery and pressing the power button for thirty seconds?
