What measures to take before getting a new laptop replacement?

Recently, i bought Triton 300 PT315-51.
I powered it up, added my microsoft account and acer automatically added this device to my acer account. But, very soon, i noticed 2 or 3 dead pixels in that laptop. So, i requested Flipkart for replacement. They approved and I'm going to get the new laptop tomorrow (18 Oct, 2019).
So, since the old laptop is still linked with my acer account, I'll remove that laptop from my account. Like this, is there any other steps to perform to make sure there is no link between the old laptop and my account so that the next user has hassle free experience?

    Backup all your data.
Reset laptop back to factory settings.
Take pictures of it before packing to keep proof it was packed in good condition. Preferably a small video to show it works too.

@sdzshn3 if you have sensitive data on it like corporate wise i suggest you zero fill the drive first with proper software probably a 4 pass would be enough because formatting any drive the usual ways the data can still be all recovered if someone has the intention to do so (of course you would loose the factory reset and would have to install windows via usb drive) but if nothing important just clean install it and youre good to go anyway this advice its only for those who work with very sensitive data on their devices like corporations nothing to do with the average user so nothing to worry this is just an informative post for those who work with that kind of data :)

Windows 10 Reset gives 2 option of drive wiping during reset: "Just remove my files" (less time) and "Remove files and Clean the Drive" (more time depending on the amount of data in drive). Choose the 2nd one when prompted. I hope you chose the 2nd option if you didn't want to rely on third party tools.

Thanks to all of you guys..
Since i know that I'm going to return it, i haven't pasted or downloaded any private or confidential data.
So, i have reset the laptop by choosing clean the drive and also remove all files from all drives. It took lot of time.. then it restarted and came to the setup screen where it asks to choose language. This is where i have turned off the laptop.
And also, i have removed this laptop from my acer account.
And ofcourse, i took pictures and a short video stating that the laptop is still working and packed well.
