Laptop model: Acer Predator G3-571 (2017)
RAM: 16GB
GPU: GTX 1060 (6VRAM)
CPU: I7-7700HQ (2.8GHz)

Hello there!

My laptop has been overheating way too much, I am hitting 95 C On the GPU almost every time, I even lower the specs but it doesn't seem to help
My CPU also overheats a lot if I use the TurboBoost (3,8GHz) Therefor I've turned it off completely from the power options and have set it below 85%
With TurboBoost my CPU hits around 95 C as well and without 85C-90C depends on the load/usage

What would you recommend me to do and is it common for this laptop to hit these temperatures ?
It throttles-bottlenecks the hell out of my GPU and CPU, it lowers the speed clock a lot just to keep them from exceeding the 95C barrier

I would like to note that I've done the following already:

I've limited the CPU usage to 80-85% (via the power management options)
I've undervolted my CPU by "Core Voltage Offset"-0.110V  (I've tried XTU and ThrottleStop *not both at the same time* )
I've undervolted my GPU as well
I use Predator Sense and keep my fans on MAX 6122RPM with CoolBoost On

I am seriously considering opening my laptop or taking it to a service store somewhere to clean the fans and apply new thermal paste on the CPU and GPU

Have I missed anything? Please feel free to suggest anything you have in mind that you believe might help.

I am unsure if I should use Liquid metal or simply a good Thermal paste :/ Please guide me and tell me which one is recommended and if the temperature decrease Gap is big between using
Thermal Paste vs Liquid Metal

Last question, whats the best one you could recommend me (Thermal Paste brand /Liquid Metal brand), the price is not a problem as long as I get the best one (I Need as much temperature decrease as I can get, as you saw 95 C is way above the ordinary, without damaging my laptop)

Thank you !

I appreciate all the comments and suggestions,
    Would like to say though,
I really would want you to stop saying that these laptops are made in a way to withstand these temperatures (95C).
    I can gua
rantee you that it is NOT okay if you hit anything above 85 C, especially above 90 C.

(DO IT AT YOUR OWN RISK, IM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANYTHING)

    I applied the
rmal paste grizzly 2 days ago and the results are outstanding, I dropped from 95 C to 60-66 when playing ultra on all games.
Note that I was hitting 95C while I was playing on low settings.
    Now im ba
rely hitting 66 C on High-Ultra settings, (tittles such as; Need For Speed, PUBG, Apex Legends, FIFA 20, RUST), for durations above 1 hour of constant gaming.
The only game that made my CPU
reach 70 C was ANTHEM and it was fully maxed out in the Graphic settings.

So, please stop telling people that its ok if they hit 90 C + just because the laptop can "handle it" , It might be pa
rtly true but im sure its going to affect it sooner or later if the temps are high for long durations.
Plus, it throttles and limits the hell out of your CPU and GPU just so it can keep the temps below 95, so you are NO WAY near your full power potential Gaming Wise.

Q: OPENING THE LAPTOP to apply thermal paste, was it hard? was I scared? Have I done it before?
I PERSONALLY found out that it was WAY easier than it looks. There are so many videos out there showing you what to do.
I wasnt confident and wasnt sure how Id manage to open it since Ive never opened laptops before'.
But it was totally worth it in my case!

There is more I can talk about but ill keep it like this for now.

I hope this was helpful in any way!

    EDIT:
I would like to note that ACER had done A TERRIBLE
job,  the worst thermal paste Ive ever seen in my life.
It was all over the place, barely had covered the GPU and CPU chip, it was on the little pins surrounding the chip. Simply Terrible, I would advice you to reapply it yourself but do it at your own risk.
Im sorry Acer but I want to let them know of what the reality was.
Feel free to DM me or ask me something here if you need to (related to this), as soon as I see it Ill try my best to help you out.

Hi,Good Morning! Kindly check the temperature information below.
Predator products are engineered to withstand higher operating temperatures than traditional notebooks. These systems include features that help with cooling and heat dispersion. The CPU and GPU are designed to handle temperature spikes in excess of 98 degrees Celsius without causing damage to the components. It is common for PC temperatures to spike temporarily during heavy gaming or graphic usage. If the system encounters excessive temperatures that could damage the hardware, it will automatically shut down to protect the components from becoming damaged.
If in case, the temperature is more than 98 degrees, and if you feel that the unit is hot, kindly click the link below, choose your location and contact the Acer Support in your location. I hope it is helpful! :)

    Hi @Arian777

You can also try these suggested by @Red-Sand

    Follow the video guides here.
Your temps will be under control and performance improved.
