Can the new Iconia W5 be installed with WIndows 8 Pro so it can join a domain?

I'm looking for the iPad killer to roll out across a Health Board.

The main reason for this is iPad's don't natively authenticate to a Windows domain which causes headaches for staff accessing in house apps and for IT to manage the devices.

I've heard that in order for Windows 8 tablets to join a Windows domain they need to be running Windows 8 PRO.

The Iconia W5 looks and feels great but it doesn't look like it can be joined to a domain with the version of Windows it comes with out of the box.

Can it be upgraded to Windows 8 Pro?

    Good day

Yes you can. It has to be Windows 8 Pro 32bit. Once you have installed the OS then you can download missing drivers (if any) and applications from http://support.acer.com
