Hello, I have acer aspire e5-575 laptop, and suddenly it started to die with almost full battery left. It won't turn on until I plug it on again. What could the problem be and how could I fix this? Thanks.

    Hi,

Please check the critical power level of battery.   If it is set to a higher level then computer will shutdown.   Now that if you have set the critical power level to a more reasonable, 25% then you can over come this issue.

    Follow these:

    1. Click the battery meter on taskbar & click more power option.
    2. On your current power plan click change plan settings.
    3. Click on Change Advance power Settings.
    4. Scroll to botton and click the + sign of the battery to expand settings.
    5. Click on low battery level and change the following setting:

on battery to: 40 % (if ur system shut downs at 30% this will warn you before at 40%)

now click on Critical battery level and change the setting to 35%.

now click on critical battery action and change the setting to hibernate.

This will hibernate you system before the battery is over and prevent it from sudden shutdown.

All of these settings are even lower than you said. And this started happening not very long ago, I have this laptop for like three years and never had a problem.
