I got a Acer XG270HU earlier this year. I got it because it was affordable and offered G-Sync compatibility.  Whenever I activate the G-Sync, I get random Monitor flickering.  It will turn off (as if doing a display change) for about 3 seconds, then come back on. Is there a fix for this?
Specs are as follows:
Intel i7 -8700k
16gb g-skill trident series
Gigabyt GTX 1080
Asus ROG Maximus X Code
windows 10 64-bit

It's normal if the software is doing a resolution change, not normal if you're just playing the game without changing.

It does happen while I am playing a game. So the resolution should not be changing.

Update on my original post, the flickering also happens with G-Sync off. It will do it when I put videos into or out of full screen as well. not just in games.
