Nitro 7 AN715-51-796C

So, the spec for the ram in all the documentation that I have seen says DDR4-2400.  The ram installed by Acer is DDR4-2666.  (Yup, I need to doublecheck that it is operating at 2666.)  Not that I expect it will make much difference (going from a single stick to a pair will probably make a bigger difference) but, more options...

As for SSD's, another post that I saw as I was thinking about the ram speeds suggested that both m.2 slots may not be NVMe compatible.  Any way to check this without moving the existing m.2 (which is NVMe) to the other slot?  Just thinking that down the road, I will be adding a second m.2 drive and I'd rather go with NVMe if possible (although it will storage/backup so it probably is not the end of the world if it is not NVMe.  The existing boot drive is).

Really, I was looking for the ability to have 2 drives (I already swapped the sata SSD that I had in my old laptop in to my new rig), that a third drive is even an option is great.  Ultimately hoping that 2TB NVMe drives come down in price to something more reasonable.

Thank you both.  I had not seen the 2400/2666 anywhere but it is good info to have.  As for the SSD, would it be correct that PCIe/Sata Co-lay requires an m.2 that is not NVMe?

Andylb, I generally do use Crucial memory, the plan was to order from either Amazon or Newegg.  Oddly enough when I enter the full model number at that link, Crucial comes up with nothing...if I just enter AN715-51, it provides results.

AN515-51 is all you need for that model the RAM  and SSD specs are the same for all -51's

Link below for RAM and SSD's from Crucial they guarantee compatibility with your exact model. I write down the part number then order from Amazon, it's cheaper and faster delivery. You're right about the 2400/2666 mhz. It seems the MOB supports both.
