I just got like 2days ago an acer predator helios 300 (2019 model) , but it keeps on fluctuating on battery aspects. What I mean is , a min ago it was showing 2hrs 40mins (without charger connected) , couple of minutes later it displayed 45mins left and again it went to 2hrs something. I don't think it is normal . Help me out please.

First try the below 2 steps and check

Power drain: First turn off the laptop and unplug the charger, Look at the back of your laptop and you can see a small pin hole. Put a paper clip inside the pinhole, press and hold the paper clip for 40 seconds.Make sure when you press and hold the paper clip you will feel like pressing on to a button inside the pin hole.Than try to power on the laptop and check.

BIOS default:Press the power button but as soon as you press than power button , tap on the F2 key repeatedly untill you get the BIOS setup utility page. Once you enter the BIOS press the F9 and press enter and press F10 press enter. The unit will restart , after the unit comes on check and see.

Windows doesn't read the battery correctly get another software like battery bar Pro to get real-time readings

Charge to full - leave it on for 1-2 hours.
Unplug power, let some video or something run on the laptop until it auto hibernates.
Connect power back on and power it up.

This charge-discharge cycle should set it right, possibly.
