Got this monitor from Amazon several months ago.   32 inch 4k.  Has 3 inputs......DP | HDMI | DVI-D     Seems to be working okay except for this one issue.  I do quite a bit of tinkering/repairs on systems as a hobby.  However the issue with this monitor is when booting a system up the monitor seems to be going through some kind of input checking before it actually displays the screen output from the system.   This becomes problematic when I'm trying to get to certain screens by selecting certain keys, you know like going to Bios or selecting the Bios Boot menu or even trying to get to Safe Mode in Win10.   So what is happening is although the system is booting normally I do not get anything on the screen for at least 10, 15 or even 20 seconds.    During this period I can see the screen going through an input check to see which input port the signal is coming from.   So even if I am connected via HDMI or even DP the screen seems to be cycling through the inputs trying to find a signal.   Which basically means I have nothing on the screen to see/read until usually it's too late.

I have to test again but I think early on I tried the DVI connector but can't remember if things were better or not.  Not that is matters because most newer video cards only come with HDMI or DP ports.

I hope I have explained it properly.   lol   I have looked through the monitor menu but can find nothing to set a default input to hopefully speed things up.  I'm not sure if there is a setting I am missing or the monitor is defective.

Sorry meant to say it was a 1440 monitor, not 4K.   Can't find a way to edit my post.  I just tested things again using DVI.  No help.  I just booted it using a DP cable and the first thing I saw displayed on the monitor is the spinning Windows 10 logo.    Waaaay past any Bios screens.

I'm not positive on this specific model, but there is usually a setting where you can set the source port without the auto hunt it does by default.
