Hey guys, I was playing around with the power plan settings and sort of confused the Acer power plan which my unit came with. I forgot what values there were for minimum processor state as well as the "Turn of Hardisk after". Can someone send me a snap of these two values or just tell me what they were so I can change them back. Thank you! Also I am getting about 86-88 degrees on Far Cry 5 and AC Odyssey on Auto mode. Have been getting these temps from the beginning, is this normal for the unit? TIA!

I have been in a long battle with Acer India where they have been giving me on defective unit after the other. All from the same batch and sharing the same S/N. The first unit the turbo boost wasn't functioning, the button really. It was otherwise amazing. Ran 83 degrees at most on prolonged loads, no stuttering etc. I placed a complaint regarding the same and they came and said it was a manufacturing defect and offered replacement, I accepted. Second unit again performed well, ran same temps and got superb fps like the last one, no stuttering. BUT, its battery was draining to ZERO even though it was plugged in, it was draining 3% per minute while it was plugged. On Turbo even faster. Again placed a complaint and they came assessed said the battery was defective and offered to replace the battery alone, I accepted BUT before they replaced battery they ended up doing something to my heat-sink or paste , that when I got it back it was running at 92-95 degrees with heavy stutter. Asked why they did that without my permission especially when I never made a complain regarding heat? No answer. Gave it back, they apologized and "fixed" something which wasn't an issue before their mistake. It was delivered back to me, and still was running at extremely high temps (93) with stuttering. Something neither unit was doing before their interference. I fought with them and had it replaced again. Now the third unit, AGAIN from the same batch is running at 90-92 degrees with heavy stuttering and on Turbo running at even higher temperatures (94-96) with no increase in FPS. Contacted acer again and they are saying thats all normal temperature for a gaming laptop, maybe you are playing heavy games. These games were all released two years ago, and are much below the specs this unit has. Further, they were running amazingly well on the first and second (before their messing up) units. Now, they are refusing to take my case. I refuse to keep this unit and am planning on taking them to court. Can everyone who owns this particular model help me out by sending their readings so I can use it as proof? I have data from my first two but I dont think that will be enough. Please help me. I am sick and tired of this long and arduous battle and regret ever choosing acer. If any Acer international employees can help me, please do, as your Indian company is incompetent and rude.

Rohan25 well looking at all the issues you had so far my question is did they resealed it with the warranty seal or you dont have any warranty seal on it if so you are lucky you can open it yourself and repaste it with kryonaut or similar your temps issues are due to the stock thermal paste probably badly applied also take a look here  and you are free to join the fb predator group (look for more info in my signature) im sure you will find  ppl in there with the same specs as you have

+1 to fixing it yourself especially after all that nonsense.

I have a 2019 Helios 300 and can confirm I never ever go past 85 C even on Anthem which is absolutely brutal on temperatures.

    Other games I play are:
    Witcher 3
    PUBG
    Evil Within 2
    Gears 5
    Vampyr
    Tomb Raider
    Apex
    Monster Hunter World
    BFV
    Division II
    Destiny 2
    ETC

In fact.. here's a picture of me running triple monitors while running Aida64Extreme, Firestrike, Heavens Benchmark and running a full Norton Scan + Windows Updates all at the same time.

Note the 20+ minute time elapse (I ran for 40 minutes)

This is entirely stock with no additional tweaks made fresh out of box.
