Will the above run win10  and can you tell  model ssd to replace  HDD

    You can run 32-bit Win10. But it will be painfully slow even with a SSD. This is partly due to its 15-year old  mainboard drive interface.  This requires an older, harder-to-find style of SSD or a converter, bracket and room enough inside the case to accept a newer style. You will also be limited by the BIOS in the size drive you can install. Sorry, in my opinion, this is impractical. It will likely cost more, and perform more poorly, than a newer re-certified or re-manufactured machine with Win10 already installed.   Jack E/NJ

    (1) How much RAM is installed? You need a minimum 1GB for 32-bit Win10. 2GB for 64-bit Win10.
    (2) What was the original factory installed Windows version?
    (3) What model HDD is in there now? To find out, check BIOS menu Information tab by pressing F2 on startup.

    hi Jack thanks for mail   1  just googled 5003wlmi  it seems 1GB seems to be max.       2 original  was winXP.          3 hdd _HTS421280H9AT00 

    it would seem that win 10 would need to be only the 32bit edition, 

    sorry to be unsure, senior citizen (87) Ifind  the technology a little hard to fully under stand
