Hi!
I know hinges on Acer Nitro 5s are a known issue and it seems like the only solution is to be under warranty and take advantage of that.
But I've had the laptop for about 2 years so I'm not under warranty anymore. Was wondering if anyone had any tips on solving this problem :)
My left hinge has been broken for some time and just today it started affecting the screen. Now there's a black bar on the left side covering about 1/8th of my screen. My display is also tinted red and being wacky.

I'd prefer not to go in blind to a computer repair place and get charged an arm and a leg so any advice is welcome.

Thanks!

it depends upon the damage. exactly what is damaged.
is it the back cover where the hinge screws are screwed in.?

is it the hinge itself ?

etc etc ...your posting detailed pics after removing the covers / bezels will help in failure analysis.and finding the right solution.

Right hinge is starting to make a noise when I open and close the Nitro5 laptop.

Is there a remedy for this issue or will I have to live with this until the computer dies...
