Have done clean disk but only left with 1 gb. How to find duplicate files to remove. Don't want to delete the wrong files. Or would factory reset clean up the laptop? Any advice would be great.

redo disk cleanup choosing to clean up system files too, check if it will let you tick to delete old windows versions; those are made when you do update versions of windows.

yeah first do as ironfly said above.

    then,
if you dont use hibernation or fast startup, then delete the hibernation file. it will save about 2-4 gb of space.

    delete unwanted restore points.
there are many more ways of reclaiming space but first do the elementary ones.
