So i got a cheap western digital green 250 gb ssd for  this es1-523 lap top, a4-7210 APU. Bios ver v1.01. I went to take out the old 2.5 inch 1 tb drive but got stuck on  1 screw that burred because some nuckfet when they put it in over tightened it and those screws are soft. Long story short is that i have to drill it out to release it but i don't have a drill at the moment. Have to wait til i can borrow 1 ( Sucks when you don't have 1 due to forgetting to go buy 1 after the old 1 buggered out. ) Anyway i figured i'll just boot from the caddy til i can change it over. It seems i can't regardless of what i change the bios settings to and changing it to legacy doesn't work either. Any ideas?

I ran a bios update and suddenly it switched to the ssd caddy. Yay Now it's a bit snappier than before lmao Anyway, it's not for me. It's for the rest of the house to bash around with.
