I Just wanted to confirm that it is normal that only 6GB are useable on my Acer aspire 5 A515-43. I assume the rest is reserved by the ryzen 3500u integrated vega 8 GPU but it seems like quite a lot to me?

anybody know anything about this? Also how do I access the bios on an aspire 5?

2GB allocated to GPU. In proper BIOS you have an option to configure VRAM size, for Vega 8 (integrated GPU for Ryzen 5 3500U) you can set it to 256MB, 512MB, 1Gb or 2GB. Unfortunately Acer does not expose this option in BIOS, it is set to 2GB and you cannot change it. So if you are not a gamer you have almost 2GB of RAM wasted.
