Hello, I just bought a Predator 300 PH315-51-74V4 2018 model about 2 months ago (my first Acer gaming laptop) I am a casual light to moderate gamer on and off and after following ACER's battery calibration now my laptop can't even hold a charge over night after normal use and not any gaming Just watching YouTube videos and listening to news radio stations with the laptop power supply connected during use and after the end of the day I shutdown the system and unplug the power supply from the wall and the next day I power it back on with the power supply connected first before powering back up and the battery is down to 94%. It did not do this until I took the advice from Acer's support page drained the battery 3 times and recharged to supposedly calibrate the batter. After this the battery can't even hold up during normal use much less playing games while connected to the power supply like madden 19 or War Thunder. Before I could play these games for 60+ mins while on the power supply before the battery would start to take a hit now I can't even get past 10 or 20 mins without the battery draining while gaming connected to the power supply and during normal use the battery never depleted, it was always fully charged everyday. I even unplugged the power supply to check the current battery level and it would be at 100% full charge before the battery calibration.

I installed CPUID Hardware Monitor and its already showing a 2% ware on the battery and I've only owned the laptop for 2 months. The first month I really didn't even do any gaming because I was trying to get windows 10 to operate correctly with the buggy windows 10 version 1703 the that the laptop was shipped with originally since I have updated windows 10 to version 1809. I'm not sure if the battery was in this condition out of the box or after I took Acer's advice and calibrated The battery. I didn't install the HW Monitor until 3 days ago and I have done a soft battery reset using the pin hole button on the bottom on the laptop, Is this normal for a new battery in a Acer Perdator 300?..

Here is a screen shot of the current condition of the battery on the Predator after It has been powered back up and recharged again. I have owned a Lenovo Yoga laptop for over a year and have used it every day and it shows 0% battery ware.

At this rate my battery on the Predator will only hold up for 8 or 9 months. $1100 for a laptop that won't even last for a year??? I feel like I really wasted my money and made a very bad choice buying this laptop from Acer. How can the battery have a 2% ware only after owning it for a couple of months. Cheap battery?... Under powered power supply. What a scam. Its been a total nightmare since day one with Acer and this laptop. One problem after another. I should have returned it back to the store I got it form but I got sick and couldn't get in returned in time by store return policy. If anyone can give me any feedback on what you all think It would be for much appreciated. I don't get much of a chance to enjoy using this laptop because I'm constantly trying to fix something or work around bugs (Hardware and Software issues)

thunderkiss i have my H300 on AC since day 1 24/7 since 19 months ago and i have 8.4% wear the 2% wear its nothing your battery its fine in fact under 5% wear its nothing because windows battery report reports the wear wrong even when you get it brand new out of the box its already reporting wear  my battery its same capacity as yours and i have now 44810 mWh i wouldnt worry about it at all and the normal stock time you should have on battery (if not on saving mode) its 2 to 2:30h and thats already pushing it unless you optimize your windows tweak the power plan and undervolt it you wont get any better battery life

Bare in mind that the battery main purpose on gaming laptops its to aid the adapter when this one cannot provide enough power to the cpu/gpu and you should always use the laptop on AC only in emergency situations when you dont have a socket near you should use the battery  also when gaming make sure youre always on AC and with 100% battery before you start any game after all its a gaming laptop its not a normal laptop its desktop hardware squeezed in a very tiny compact place and i state again windows reporting the battery up to 5% wear dont mean anything because windows builds the wear report before the battery reaches 100% and it doesnt matter which software you get to check the wear it will always be the same as the windows reports as they all get the info from the windows itself also you cannot compare a normal laptop/tablet with a gaming laptop theres no comparison to be made not the same hardware not even close
