Anyone know why my Aspire A517-51G laptop does not want to update to Win10 V1903?

My A517-51G laptop with Win10 Home OS does not update to the new version1903 of Win10.
Is it a Win10 update rollout issue?
TBA d/l for Win10 Home users later on this year?
The laptop is up to date at version 1809 and is otherwise working OK. Should I just be patient and wait for MS update distribution of V1903 for my laptop?

Thanks for giving me HOPE!!!

Francois

    Hi egydiocoelho,

I got my problem solved in a big sense from your first reply.

If it can help other ACER laptop USERs having the same problem, here are steps that I did and which, I think, made a big difference in the installation update to go from Win10 v1809 to v1903:

    (1) I downloaded the MS Win10 installation file that I got from your link in your first reply...the file "Windows10Upgrade9252.exe".
    (2) I shutted down all programs to give full priority to the installation update program.
(2.1) I even closed McAfee security app, virus scanning, internet protection, etc. Made sure it would not come back up using its "NEVER" turn back on setting. I also removed all USB plug-in device (I only had a wireless mouse USB mouse to remove). Remove any USB device from your laptop before going ahead...simply use only the mouse pad of the laptop PC (LTPC) for any interaction with the LTPC.
    (3) I then fired up the installation application...

About 3 to 4 hours later and after multiple installation program reboots (just let the update app do its thing!...don't interfere) Win10 came back up at v1903.

    Yahoooooooo!!!

Finally, the LTPC is up to speed at v1903. From the looks of it, a major improvement over v1809. A big update recommended for all.

PS...I had not done step (2.1) the first time I tried updating...and if failed the first time around.
PSS...Also, the installation file I used the first time may have been different althought it looked the same. Just use the link supplied by egydiocoelho.

Thanks egydiocoelho for your insight...it is most appreciated.

    Long live the ACER community!

Yes, I have tried this link to update to win10 v1903.

However, after several hours of updating the end result was that v1809 was still the active version on the laptop.

Very strange indeed as the windows app you are referring to tells me 1) that I should update, 2) that the laptop is compatible for the update but in the end nothing changes and I am just still at the v1809.

Don't really see how I will get out of this one!!!

    Any other ideas?
