Hey guys-  I've been having some issues with my laptop and I'm not sure where to turn anymore.  Whether the device is plugged in or running off battery, it will randomly after being turned on, just shut itself off.  It will then power on so I see the backlight of the keyboard then it'll go black again.  It will repeat this process over and over again until I power the computer off by hard pressing the power and shutting the lid.

So far I've tried the battery paperclip in the pin hole as well as updating the bios to the latest version, but no luck yet.  Any other ideas what I should do?  The darn thing is 3 days out of warranty.. =(

Venapally Have you already checked the power kill switch in the ram compartment if its properly pressed or not add some layers of electrical tape just to make sure its properly pressed you can also check if your battery wear to see if its faulty or not and also how are your temps have you optimised windows and undervolted ?

I tried adding tape for the auto kill switch, but that didn't resolve anything.  Temps aren't hitting anywhere near high enough (like 60 degrees) to be killing it due to temps.  I'm not sure about the battery since my laptop is plugged in when this happens.  I have not done either of the last two.
