I had a question about the bios chip on this specific model, the TC-605. I want to partition an SSD in GPT to be my main drive, but I cant seem to find any information on whether the chip on this motherboard supports UEFI or if its locked in legacy BIOS. I'm currently running 64 bit windows 7 from an HDD set up in MBR that i'll likely clone and convert to GPT after im done installing the ssd and making it my main boot drive. All i need to know is whether the TC-605 motherboards bios chip has UEFI. Ccleaner deleted my setupact.log file, and there is no entry in msinfo32 as to BIOS mode, only an SMBIOS version, whixh is 2.8. Everything is looking like this chip is BIOS only, but i want to believe it has UEFI support

Edit: want to say i just flashed the BIOS from P11 to p21-a4 in preperation. The setup utility does not have any options for uefi and looks uh.. very much like a BIOS

So to reiterate, my plan is to use the MBR drive (win7) to partition the SSD to GPT, install a new win7 64 bit on it, then switch from legacy BIOS to GPT and boot from the SSD with the MBR drive as a secondary drive. Will i lose access to the 2nd drive? Is this even possible? I'm a comp. eng. student, so i should be able to follow instructions, i just want to know if this is feasible before I sink too much time into it.

Nvm. Its just labelled 'launch csm' in the bios. I shoulda googled what a CSM was before coming here. Dah-doi.
