Replace heat sink Predator G3 710-uc

hi! I found a great deal on a heat sink that could probably keep my cpu a bit cooler and in attempting to install it, I came across stand off screws for the stock heat sink that are not compatible with the replacement. 
The replacement is a Deepcool Rammax 400 that should be compatible with lga1151 boards. 
The lga1151 mount uses push pins to mint that are too wide for the stand offs that the original heat sink was mounted into. 
What to do?

    Figured it out! There is a backplate fixed with adhesive that a “guitar pick” style wedge can displace. After that, the mounting mechanism worked as expected. CPU is now very cool.
