Nonpage error in brand new refurbished laptop Spin 5 SP513-52N

Hi guys, I just bought this refurbished laptop off Amazon:

Acer Spin 5 SP513-52N Touch 2-1 Laptop 8th Gen. Intel Quad Core i7 up to 4GHz 8GB 256GB SSD 13.3in Full HD Fingerprint Reader Windows Ink HDMI Backlit Keyboard Webcam (Renewed)

I've only had it 2 weeks, and this last week is has bumped me off and restarted 3 times with a blue screen saying: page fault in nonpage area". Well actually, the other two times the error may have said something different but at least once it said this. I ran a scan, no malware or viruses, my battery is full, not overheating, and I'm panicking that it has a hardware issue and I'll have to return it, when I literally just began my online classes. The Amazon support is clueless. Any thoughts? Should I send it back?

  • I suggest you do a ram test by typing memory in the cortana and restarting the notebook. Run the full test.

    First check the hard drive for errors.

    1. Open a CMD window as an administrator.
    2. Type or paste ‘chkdsk /f /r’ and hit Enter.
    3. Allow the process to complete.

    Then perform a system file check.

    1. Open a CMD window as an administrator.
    2. Type or paste ‘sfc /scannow’ and hit Enter.
    3. Allow the process to complete.

    It might also be useful to check Windows updates and drivers as they are often the cause of Page Fault In Nonpaged Area errors.

    1. Navigate to Settings, Update & security.
    2. Click ‘Check for updates’ in the Windows update tab.
    3. Allow the process to complete.
    4. Navigate to Control Panel, Hardware and Sound, Device Manager.
    5. Select hardware, right click and ‘Update Driver Software’. Make sure you check graphics and audio drivers as well as any third party webcam, printer and other drivers.
    6. Reboot and retest.
