My laptop is an Acer Aspire E5 - 576G - 59AB. I've been reading up on some posts about upgrading the same model but I havent been able to find one that answered this question. Please let me know what I can do and what brand I should go with.

Here are the specs.

Yes you can replace your current Kingston module with the above on Crucial. And yes DDR3  laptop  HyperXImpact should work fine too. But I would not pay extra for HyperX than regular Kingston DDR3 because the performance should be about the same in your machine. Jack E/NJ

Kingston or Crucial are fine economical brands. You can add an just about any 8GB 1.35v module that is at least as fast as 800MHz. 1600MHz is very common today. That would give you 12GB total. Maximum is 16GB with two 8GB modules. Go to this link for specs on what is compatible. https://www.crucial.com/usa/en/compatible-upgrade-for/Acer/aspire-e5-576g

Thanks you for the information. But can I replace my current Kingston module with the ones above? I looked through the site you recommended and they also look promising but I'd just like to know if the HyperX Impact would also work.
