Hi everyone , im a pro gamer and i'v been having a very rare issue with my laptop VN7-791G (aspire V 17 nitro - Black edition) - i was playin world of warcraft which is not a heavy graphic game and i witnessed a sudden shutdown in middle of the game and i was like ok it happens ... then after that shutdown everytime i log in game i play for few mins then laptop shuts down and stay turned off , and i also have FPS drop problems lately and my fps used to be 60 in game and  now its 15-20 , and the things i have done to fix this (i opened the laptop , cleared every fan , changed the thermal paste , changed the power plan - update bios , re install windows ) and it didnt get the job done and i still have the same issue till i brought it to a specialist and he diagnosed it and told me the on board intel graphic which is on mother board is casing the problem and they said that they are not able to change the onboard graphic cause its pressed to mother board and it dis assemble'ing the intel graphic might cause the laptop not turn on for ever and said its a 50-50 chance to get it fix , what i want to ask is how to change the onboard graphic and put a new one in it , is it even possible ? is it even the right call for this issue , i really need a mastermind genius to help me on this its REALLLLY important for me and i cant earn money if i dont get this fix and i will die slowly (( pls help me assap and ask anymore details u want to know for this , i really need help guys ... Sorry, the graphics adapter is a chip that is permanently soldered to the mainboard. Trying to de-solder all the connections to the old chip and solder a new chip it would likely damage other mainboard components. However, if one or more of the chip's solder connections seems cracked and is causing this issue (as observed by using a magnifying glass or loupe), it  may be possible to re-flow the solder connections with a heat gun or pinpoint soldering tool to re-establish proper connections. hey mate thx for your time to answer me , some little questions i have brother ,is it possible to turn of the mainboard graphic via any option on wondowns ? will disabling the intel graphic card prevent the sudden shutdowns ? and btw is this even reasonable ? does a damaged mainboard graphic chip cause sudden shutdowns JUST in game ? and is there any other option that i should consider besides using the heat gun to fix it , cause if there is no other option this lap top is nothing but a video player for me :((

You can disable the either graphics chip in Device Manager's DisplayAdapters folder to see what happens. And if you have any doubts about your specialist's diagnosis, you can try an erase everything cold boot factory reset using the ALT+F10 as shown in the video below. Unless you don't care, you should back up your system to another HDD (thru a USB port) before doing so --- TB-level HDDs are cheap nowadays. If the reset doesn't fix the issue, then your specialist is likely correct. Jack E/NJ
