Hi all, I'm asking for help as I run out of ideas how to fix my problem.
Laptop: Acer Aspire R3-131t delivered with Win8, upgraded to Win10 when new, with 500 GB HDD, Polish language.
All messages were in Polish, I am going to translate them into English so that you could understand them.
Problem: After switching on, a blue screen appeared with two options: Solve Prooblems & Switch off the computer. No recovery option worked. The only option that I could use was to start the command mode window. Thanks to it I learnt that the data was still present at disk C.
My priority was to backup data and I did it with Ubuntu booted from USB (some BIOS/UEFI setups were necessary). Laptop booted from USB after Boot Manager has been activated (F12).
Then I decided to reinstall Windows. I created an ISO USB using Microsoft tool. Inserted the USB and rebooted the laptop from USB.
Windows installation started as expected, than I was prompted to select the partition. The partitions were factory created, 4 of them:
Partition 1: ESP - 100 MB - 45MB free - type: System
Partition 2: - 16 MB - 16 MB free - type: MSR
Partition 3: Acer - 464.8 GB - type: Basic (I am not sure if the translation is OK)
Partition 4 - 858 MB - 459 free type: Recovery

The installer only allowed to select Partition 3 (after changing some BIOS setups).
Installation run OK including "installing updates" and stopped at "Finishing".
A pop-up window appeared: "Windows cannot update boot configuration. Cannot continue installation." Only OK button available.

After restarting, Boot Options Menu has only one line: Windows Boot Manager.
Selecting it returns to the original sequence: Windows starting, asking to select Keyboard layout, then blue screen with two options: Solve Prooblems & Switch off the computer. No "Solve Problems" solution works.

I guess the problem may be in one of the other partitions, but I have no idea what do they contain. I don't want to erase any vital files so I would rather avoid formatting partitions if not necessary.

Any ideas, what I can do?
